GRAVE SECRETS

Because I really don't like the idea of my demise I am hoping that with any luck ghosts are real, and I come back as a pretty one. There are a lot of people out there in spookyland that really believe in ghosts and there is even a museum to prove their point. I came across this very interesting website today, and even though I am not sure what I believe as far as anything supernatural is concerned I found it fascinating.
Among the exhibits there is a display of Haunted Dolls. These would be the perfect gift for the child you really don't like.
The first is a lovely little dolly by the name of Joliet and her story reaches back over four generations. She was handed down from mother to daughter and each daughter had two children, a son and a daughter. Each son died at 3 days old and people believe the souls of the sons inhabit the doll and apparently can be heard crying in the night with the voices of several infants.
One of the other tiny treasures is a doll from the 1920's by the name of Pupa. The original owner had her until their death in 2005. Since her owners passing her new family reports that the doll moves by herself and changes things around in the display cabinet she is kept in. The family also say that they often hear tapping on the glass as they pass her display case, and when they stop to look her legs or arms are in a different position to what they were placed in originally. SPOOKY
There is also a display of haunted mirrors and a list of the do's and don t's concerning them. This is some of the advice:
Never look into a mirror by candlelight, it may show you a very haunted version of your home.
If you stare into a mirror between two tall white candles you might see the spirit of a loved one who has passed away. And their soul is stuck in your mirror.
Always cover a haunted mirror during a thunderstorm lightning will release the ghosts.
It is considered a bad omen to receive a mirror from a deceased persons home as a present.
If a mirror in the house falls and breaks on its own, A evil ghost is trying to escape it's mirror prison.
A baby should never be shown its own reflection before it is a year old, else it will stutter or grow no bigger than it is or die before it turns one.
Many families cover a mirror if someone dies, as they believe that the mirror will capture the dead person’s soul, thus preventing its entry into heaven. When a person is bad in life many say let them be trapped in mirror it is better then going to Hell!
And if someone sees their reflection in a mirror from a room where someone has recently died, they will die soon too.
It is said that if ghost wanders your home during the night, a mirror can capture it
That's it.....I'm getting rid of my mirrors.
Then there are the host of photos. Weather they are real or not I don't know but they are slightly creepy. One of many is a photo of a man at Mardi Gras in New Orleans with a ghost swirling around him.
The other one that freaked me a little was a photo of a cremation urn with an apparent spirit surrounding it.
My favourite display was the haunted dolls but there are so many displays and articles on this website you could spend hours browsing it, so for those of you who have a bit of fortitude and like anything unusual here is the link:
